It is correct that the sponsor of the proposal has decided not to go forward with the April 18 presentation to the PREP Board.  It was certainly legal for them to request to pull the item.  It may or may not mean the proposal is dead.  But it does seem to mean that it is not being actively pursued for the time being.

Hi Richard,

The project was pulled by the developer and I am not sure of the reason. It does not mean that it is “dead” just pulled. It might come back, it might not.

Will keep you up to date on the park renovation schedule when I hear something.

I’ve copied the City Attorney to correct me if I mis-stated anything or add info as he sees fit.

Thanks,
Jen

Hi Jen
What does that mean that the PREP City Island plan was pulled from the April 18 meeting?
Was that something the developer did? Was it legal? Does that mean hat the city plan is dead?
If not, can you please keep me informed as to whether the plan can be accelerated to possibly protect City Island from possible future development assaults?
Thanks
Richard

Hi Jen
What do you think the possibility is of delaying the City Island vote until after the November election?
Thanks for all your great work on behalf of the people of Sarasota!
